Yes, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to store the kayaks on the Malone MicroSportXT Trailer # MPG460XT with the tongue retracted. However, you might need to remove the kayaks before retracting the tongue to be able to disconnect the wiring harness and access the tongue bracket on the back end to keep it secure. Sliding a kayak across the rubber pads on the Lockrack # LR24VR really won't be much different than normal crossbars/kayak carriers, though I recommend picking up some silicone spray from a local home improvement store and keeping the rubber coated in that every couple of months. I spoke to my contact at Yakima and she informed me that since your kayaks will be behind your vehicle and not on top it is not as important to have the kayaks strapped down when used on the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer # Y08106. I think the images are coincidences. It is always a good idea to use bow and stern tie downs when transporting something long like a kayak or canoe. It is not necessary in all places but may be required by state or local laws in others. So better safe than sorry!

What you are saying makes sense to me. As long as your scupper holes are larger than 5/16" in diameter, the etrailer Cable Lock # e98891 will fit through the holes. It seems like a pretty ingenious way to secure your kayaks, especially given that most kayaks do not have great locking points.

I can definitely help you transport your kayaks with your 2017 Chrysler Pacifica but at this point in time (July 2019) there are no aftermarket roof racks that are compatible with your vehicle. I did check the online version of the owner's manual for your 2017 Pacifica and on page 175 is states that you have a weight capacity of 150 lbs so if you have 4 kayaks that weigh in at 38 lbs each that puts you at 152 lbs which means you are exceeding the max amount of weight for your vehicle. What you are seeing in the video you mentioned for the Stacker kayak carrier # TH830 is a separate part; We have something very similar which are the Malone QuickLash Hood Loops, # MPG308. They do not come with the Stacker. What you would do is use the tie downs included with the carrier.
